These lenses are really something quite special. They’re a new custom design engineered to give a vintage, front anamorphic feel but in a modern reliable housing. They have so many of the things we love about classic anamorphic lenses with just the right amount of barrel distortion, big bold flares, oval bokeh and a beautiful gradual focus falloff to the edges.
Another remarkable thing is the size and weight of the entire set. Most of them are under 2kg and with a 104mm diamether they’re tiny! They also have an incredible close focus with some lenses focussing down to 15″ meaning you will hardly ever need to use diopters.
Most lenses comfortably cover full frame with only the widest being limited to super 35, definitely high up on the list to test if you’re thinking of shooting anamorphic.
