There is truly nothing else like Ancient Optics’ Petzvalux primes. They are a full set of fast, full frame, modern optics based on vintage optical designs… that are user tuneable. Expanding on the Petzval look previously only available in focal lengths of roughly 58/85mm in the classic Petzval lineup (currently heavily on display in Poor Things from DOP Robbie Ryan), this set consists of 5 focal lengths. Each lens has a 3rd “Bokeh control” ring allowing the user to dial in their own look and ultimately control many aspects of the image with repeatable, consistent adjustments to bokeh, spherical aberration and sharpness.
