We have had some custom OLPF filters made for the Mini LF to covert it to a full spectrum camera. This means that not only visible light but also IR and UV is recorded to get some amazing effects that you can’t replicate in post production.
We stock a full range of filters to let you select the wavelengths you allow through to the sensor so you can go pure IR, mixed IR and visible or the entire spectrum.
The most notable recent use of IR in fimaking was in Dune 2 but it’s been used in landscape and portrait photography to get some really strikig effects for some time.
