No Drama FLEX

We are expanding our traditional offering of equipment, adding to our inventory allowing us to now supply factual, non-scripted, corporate, fashion, e-com, sports and other projects requiring a more streamlined and flexible approach to shooting.

One of the first cameras we ever owned was a Canon C300 MKI and a very nice full set of Canon L Series lenses (very few options back then for affordable and fast EF mount primes). It allowed us at the time to cater for the odd doco/factual list that would come our way and - as we had done with our Alexa kits designed for commercials, drama and features - we built a super nimble kit around that camera designed for lightweight run and gun shooting, never just settling for one manufacturers' accessories, instead picking & choosing what we saw as the best options for each part of the camera.

As No Drama grew, the majority of demands on our kit were for Commercial & Drama work and we are now the largest supplier of Cameras, Lenses, Accessories, Grip & Playback equipment outside of London. We have always had stock of Go Pros, Sony RXOs and A7S cameras to be used on car rigs, body cams and various other builds on commercial and long form work but with the release of Sony's FX series a cross over began and we were seeing these cameras on lists for Music Promos, Corporate shoots and some Commercials.

So.. we've taken the leap and now stock a range of Cameras, Lenses, Grip & Accessories perfectly suited to the world of factual and non-scripted production along with the specific expertise to support it. This new part of our business is currently nicknamed 'No Drama Flex' - essentially, catering for this world of production requires flexibility not just in the type of kit we can supply but in the demands on the crew and how they will shoot. Camera packages are designed to allow the user to work in an agile way - accessorised for all eventualities.

We stock the Sony FX range of cameras with the FX3, FX6 and FX9 on the shelf ready and equipped to head out and capture content for our clients. We've accessorised this part of our inventory with lighter-weight tripods, microphones, small lighting packages and lightweight sliders. Additionally, we've added to our existing range of vintage, modern, spherical & anamorphic glass with the the Sony & Fuji E mount and Canon PL mount Zooms as well as some more affordable sets of PL mount full frame covering prime lens sets.

We want to provide this part of our industry with the same care, class and attention to detail that we have always given to the north's drama and commercial productions.

Heading up this new side of the business is Andy Perch, crossing over from our camera prep floor into a Technical Client Contact role, bringing with him several years of experience working in rentals & production - super relevant technical knowledge and background to support our customers. We started supplying to this new sector properly during the latter part of 2022 and have recieved really positive feedback on the kit & our support;
